Afghanistan, June 1 -- Turkish authorities arrested dozens of opposition officials linked to Erdogan's rivals, sparking widespread criticism and concerns over political freedom.
Turkish authorities have ordered the arrest of several opposition party members in Istanbul and conducted raids on municipalities controlled by the opposition. Early Saturday, dozens of associates of Akram Imamoglu, Istanbul's imprisoned mayor, were detained during a large-scale security operation.
