Afghanistan, Dec. 22 -- Turkey's intelligence agency has arrested a senior ISIS-K member near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, foiling planned attacks and gaining critical intelligence on the group's recruitment and operational networks.

Turkey's intelligence agency has captured a senior member of Islamic State's Khorasan branch in a covert operation carried out near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, Turkish state media reported on Monday.

The suspect, identified as Yahya and also known by the alias Mohammed Goren, was described as a high-ranking ISKP operative involved in planning suicide attacks across several countries.
