Afghanistan, Feb. 9 -- Turkish police identified and detained 24 undocumented Afghan migrants after inspecting a cargo truck in the city of Amasya. The individuals were found hidden inside the truck, which was transporting raw rubber.
According to the police report, the incident took place on Sunday, February 9. The truck, originally from Russia, had traveled nearly 800 kilometers through Turkey before being stopped in Amasya for inspection.
Turkish media reported that the truck had entered from Russia and was transporting goods when it was intercepted. Police also arrested the truck driver for facilitating illegal migration.
