Afghanistan, Feb. 12 -- Donald Trump has welcomed Marc Fogel, an American schoolteacher, back home after his release from a Russian prison. The U.S. president remarked that Vladimir Putin received "not much" in return for Fogel's freedom.

Mr. Fogel, a 63-year-old former diplomat, arrived at Joint Base Andrews near Washington DC late Tuesday evening before heading to the White House.

France Press reported on Tuesday, February 11, that Fogel was freed following the visit of Steve Witkoff, Trump's envoy to Moscow.

According to the report, the former American diplomat was released after nearly four years in detention.
