Afghanistan, July 31 -- President Donald Trump said U.S.-China trade talks are progressing, describing them as "on the right track" and moving toward a "fair deal" after recent negotiations in Sweden.

U.S. President Donald Trump says trade talks between Washington and Beijing are "on the right track," with both sides edging closer to what he described as a "very fair agreement."

At a White House press briefing on Wednesday, July 30, Trump expressed optimism, stating, "I think everything is going very well. We are aligned with China."

His comments came after U.S. and Chinese trade delegations met in Sweden for more than five hours, discussing an extension of the three-month trade truce and ways to resolve key economic disputes.
