The decision came after Martin criticized the efforts of the Trump administration to dismantle USAID in a report. Martin's firing was made public on Tuesday evening, February 11, and he was informed of the dismissal via an email from Trent Morrow, Deputy Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel.
