Afghanistan, May 22 -- The Trump administration accepted a $400 million luxury Boeing 747 gifted by Qatar, planning costly upgrades for presidential use.
The U.S. Department of Defense has officially accepted a luxury Boeing 747 aircraft donated by the government of Qatar during the administration of the President Donald Trump. This aircraft is intended to serve as the new Air Force One following a comprehensive refurbishment.
Known as the "Palace in the Sky" for its lavish amenities, the Boeing 747 will undergo extensive redesign and be equipped with specialized presidential security features under Pentagon supervision. The upgrade process is projected to cost up to $1 billion.
