Afghanistan, May 21 -- The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan Gen. Scott Miller reaffirmed support to Afghan armed forces and the Afghan people amid ongoing efforts to find a negotiated settlement to end the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan.

"As you know peace is something that all Afghans care about and as we move forward, that is a process and a journey, also believe it is word of the people that peace comes to Afghanistan and certainly our relationship with Afghanistan which has been longstanding, would be part of that process," Gen. Miller who is also in command of the NATO-led Resolute Support Mission, told reporters in Kabul earlier today.
