Afghanistan, May 24 -- Unidentified individuals have blown up and demolished three electricity importing power pylons from Uzbekistan in Samangan province, according to local Taliban officials.

According to the state-run Bakhtar News Agency, local Taliban officials said on Monday, May 23rd, that a landmine blast in Samangan entirely destroyed three electricity importing power pylons from Uzbekistan, which would take weeks to repair.

The substations' demolition has cut off parts of Afghanistan, and Taliban officials report that a technical team has been assigned to repair them.
