Afghanistan, April 9 -- Three Afghan citizens were among seven people killed in a gas poisoning incident at the Damghan coal mine in Iran.

Iranian media have reported that seven people, including three Afghan citizens, died due to gas poisoning in the "Damghan" coal mine located in the Semnan province of Iran.

According to Iranian media reports, the incident occurred on Monday, April 7 at the exact time when these seven individuals, including three Afghan nationals, lost their lives due to the spread of toxic and dangerous gas in the mine.

Farajollah Iliyat, the Deputy Governor of Semnan, stated that none of the miners had vital signs and they died instantly due to the high volume of gas accumulation at that moment.
