Afghanistan, July 25 -- Three Afghan asylum seekers vanished hours before deportation from Germany, prompting Saxony's minister to urge faster removals as legal delays hinder enforcement efforts.
Three Afghan asylum seekers slated for deportation from Germany vanished just hours before their scheduled flight, Saxony's Interior Minister Armin Schuster confirmed.
Speaking to MDR on Thursday, July 24, Schuster stated, "The three Afghan asylum seekers disappeared before deportation. They cannot be found-I assume they are hiding."
The missing individuals were among 84 Afghans expected to be deported last Friday, alongside 81 others with criminal records who were successfully returned to Afghanistan.
