Afghanistan, Sept. 7 -- French authorities have detained a 17-year-old accused of plotting attacks against multiple embassies, government institutions, and schools, after investigators uncovered extremist writings and ISIS allegiance pledges.

A 17-year-old suspect was arrested on September 1 in Sarthe, western France, after police discovered evidence suggesting he had been planning large-scale terrorist attacks.

During the arrest, the teenager attempted to flee and sustained minor injuries. Following his detention, investigators searched his family home and found documents linked to extremist ideology and violent intent.
