Afghanistan, April 17 -- The Taliban militants suffered heavy casualties after their third attack was repulsed on Dawlatabad district in northern Faryab province.

The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said clashes took place between security forces and Taliban militants in various areas of Dawlabad district on Tuesday.

The statement further added that 11 Taliban militants including their two commanders identified as Omari and Mawlavi Naeem were killed during the clashes and 21 others were wounded.
