Afghanistan, Feb. 26 -- Abdul Mateen Qani, the spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Interior, has announced that a British couple was arrested in a "misunderstanding" related to having fake Afghanistan passports.
He, confirmed to Khaama Press on Tuesday, February 25 that, based on certain considerations, four individuals have been detained: two British nationals who hold Afghan identification and passports, a Chinese-American national, and their translator.
Meanwhile, report indicated that the Taliban spokesperson mentioned efforts to release the British couple.
Abdul Mateen Qani did not provide details about their detention but added that there are considerations, and they will be released after investigations.
