Afghanistan, Aug. 24 -- Taliban reacted to media reports regarding the agreement for the establishment of an interim government.

Suhail Shaheen, a spokesman for the political office of Taliban in Qatar rejected the reports as 'untrue'.

Reports emerged earlier suggesting that the U.S. and Taliban have reached to an agreement to establish an interim government.

Certain media outlets reported that the U.S. and Taliban representatives have reached to an agreement to establish an interim government having a 14-month term.

This comes as negotiations are underway between the U.S. and Taliban representatives in Qatari capital of Doha.
