Afghanistan, April 18 -- A traffic accident in Maidan Wardak claimed four lives, including Takhar's Taliban police spokesperson, highlighting ongoing road safety concerns.
Following a traffic incident, Zabihullah Hakimi, the spokesperson for the Taliban police command in Takhar province, was killed along with three others.
The Wardak provincial police command confirmed in a statement that the accident occurred on Thursday night, April 17, on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in Sayedabad district.
According to the statement, the collision happened between a speeding car and a cargo vehicle. The Taliban have not disclosed details about the identities of the other victims.
