Afghanistan, Nov. 15 -- Tajikistan's defence minister held high-level talks with Pakistan's military leadership in Islamabad, aiming to expand security cooperation, joint training and counterterrorism coordination amid rising regional threats.

Tajik Defence Minister Imomali Sobirzoda met Pakistan's defence chief Khawaja Asif, army chief Asim Munir and senior military officials in Islamabad to push forward military and technical cooperation between the two neighbours.

Tajikistan's defence ministry said the delegations reviewed joint military exercises, training exchanges and cooperation in counterterrorism, calling strengthened partnership essential in an increasingly unstable region.
