Afghanistan, Oct. 7 -- The Syrian Army and U.S.-backed Kurdish forces reached a ceasefire in Aleppo after days of clashes, easing tensions amid stalled political and integration efforts.
After several days of heavy clashes, Syria's state news agency SANA reported on Tuesday that the Syrian Army and U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reached a ceasefire agreement in two districts of Aleppo. The truce followed intense fighting that had raised fears of renewed conflict between government troops and Kurdish-led forces.
According to Reuters, the clashes undermined the historic March agreement between the SDF and Syria's post-Assad government, which aimed to integrate Kurdish forces into national institutions. The accord sought to reuni...
