Afghanistan, May 26 -- Spain has called for an immediate end to the Gaza war and urged renewed efforts to achieve a peaceful two-state solution.

Spain's Foreign Minister Manuel Albares called for an immediate halt to the "massacre" in Gaza and an end to the ongoing conflict during a high-level Madrid summit.

The summit, held on Sunday, May 25, brought together representatives from over 20 European and Arab countries, including France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, Morocco, the Arab League, and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. The gathering aimed to pressure Israel into stopping its military operations in Gaza.
