Afghanistan, Feb. 24 -- Iranian authorities intercepted multiple firearms and explosives smuggled from Afghanistan into Khorasan Razavi. Investigation continues to track and arrest the smugglers.
Iranian media reported that border forces in Khorasan Razavi intercepted several firearms, explosives, and ammunition smuggled from Afghanistan, preventing a potentially dangerous weapons transfer into Iran.
According to IRNA on Monday, Brigadier General Majid Shoja, commander of Khorasan Razavi Border Guard, stated that eight pistols, sixteen magazines, twelve explosive devices, and one hand grenade were discovered.
