Afghanistan, May 25 -- Severe storms in Punjab, Pakistan, killed 19 people and injured over 90, as collapsing structures and lightning caused major damage.
At least 19 people lost their lives and more than 90 were injured following heavy rains and severe storms in the Punjab province of Pakistan, local authorities confirmed on Saturday.
The fatalities were largely caused by collapsing roofs and walls of old and dilapidated houses. One significant incident involved the collapse of a factory roof due to strong winds, resulting in the death of one worker and injuries to five others. In another tragic case, a person was struck and killed by lightning.
