Pakistani media reported on Saturday, April 12, that Hafizullah Mubarez, a senior commander of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), was killed in a military operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Mubarez, widely known by his alias "Kochawan," was considered a key figure within the militant group.
According to The Express Tribune, the Pakistani military conducted the operation that led to Mubarez's death. He had been leading TTP's special forces in the Malakand region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and parts of Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan.
