Saudi Arabia is preparing to open three new alcohol stores as the kingdom accelerates its social liberalization agenda, sources familiar with the plans told Reuters. One of the stores will exclusively serve non-Muslim employees of state oil giant Aramco inside a secure residential compound in Dhahran, while another will cater to diplomats in the port city of Jeddah.

According to the sources, both outlets are expected to become operational in 2026, though an exact opening date has not been disclosed.
