Russia has sharply rejected European Union discussions on deploying multinational forces to Ukraine, describing the idea as "fundamentally unacceptable" and a direct threat to Moscow's security.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday that Moscow would not consider any foreign troop presence in Ukraine under any framework. "Such intervention is completely unacceptable and would undermine regional security," she told reporters at her weekly briefing.
