Afghanistan, Sept. 5 -- Following a devastating earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, Russia and Japan have dispatched food, tents, and relief supplies, providing urgent support to displaced families and affected communities.
Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched its first shipment, including 20 tons of food, under the directive of President Vladimir Putin to provide immediate support to affected communities.
On Friday morning, Japan also sent its first humanitarian aid package to Kabul. According to the Japanese Embassy, the shipment included tents and camping supplies, delivered to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as well as the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
