Afghanistan, March 19 -- Radio Free Europe has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, challenging the decision to cut its funding, claiming constitutional violations.
Stephen Capus, the President of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, announced that he has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Agency for Global Media and two of its officials to prevent the implementation of a directive issued by Donald Trump to cut funding for the radio station. On Tuesday, March 18, he released a statement calling the Congressional budget cut for the station a "violation of federal laws," including the U.S. Constitution.
