Afghanistan, May 15 -- A large quartz mine has been discovered in Khost, Afghanistan, offering significant potential for economic growth and development.

The Head of Mines and Petroleum in Khost province has announced the discovery of a large quartz deposit in the Shamal Dwamanda district. He stated that veins of this mineral are widely distributed among sedimentary rocks in the area.

Mr. Sadiq Jan Hamza, the Head of Mines and Petroleum in Khost, made the announcement during a field visit to the Shamal Dwamanda district, confirming the identification of a significant quartz mine in the region.
