Afghanistan, March 17 -- The Qatar Red Crescent Society announced that this year it has donated 152 million Qatari Riyals to 10 poor countries, including Afghanistan, to fulfill healthcare needs and provide medical services.
On Monday, March 17, the organization reported that the funds would be used for 121 health-related projects in these poor countries.
According to the Qatar Red Crescent, more than 1.38 million people will benefit from these projects in countries such as Afghanistan, Palestine (Gaza and West Bank), Syria, Yemen, Niger, Sudan, Lebanon, Jordan, Somalia, and Bangladesh.
The report also mentioned that last year, the Qatar Red Crescent implemented 49 healthcare projects across 13 countries, including Afghanistan.
