Afghanistan, Aug. 14 -- The Afghan forces arrested two prominent group members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group in eastern Nangarhar province.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement that the security forces arrested the two ISIS group members in Bati Kot district.

The statement further added that the security forces also confiscated two Ak-47 assault rifles, a pistol and some munitions.

Furthermore, the interior ministry said one of the detained members of the group has been identified as Abdul Rahman alias Talha.

The interior ministry said Rahman is originally a resident of Bati Kot district and was an expert in manufacturing improvised explosive devices and suicide bombing vests.
