Afghanistan, Jan. 26 -- A private jet carrying eight people crashed in the United States after departing from Bangor airport, authorities say, amid severe winter weather conditions.

International media said a privately owned aircraft crashed in the US state of Maine, shortly after taking off from Bangor International Airport.

The Associated Press reported on Monday, January 26, that the aircraft had departed from Bangor before the incident occurred.
