Afghanistan, Feb. 4 -- Foreign media have reported a prison riot in the city of Khujand, Tajikistan, which led to the deaths of at least five prisoners.
Reuters, on Tuesday, February 4, cited security sources in Tajikistan stating that prisoners in Khujand had staged a riot.
The riot, which was designed as an attempt to escape, resulted in the deaths of at least five prisoners, while three staff members, including the prison warden, were injured.
This prison, located 20 kilometers east of Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, holds some of the country's most dangerous prisoners, including members of ISIS.
