Afghanistan, Sept. 16 -- Pompeo speaking at an Atlantic Council, pointed there are fewer than 200 Alqaeda members left in Afghanistan.

"We are now delivering a set of outcomes that will reduce the cost of blood from our American servicemen and women," Pompeo said.

According to the U.S - Taliban Deal, the Taliban vowed to cut ties with Alqaeda and other insurgent groups.

The agreement requires the United States to withdraw its remaining troops from Afghan soil.
