Afghanistan, Feb. 28 -- Following the increase in the number of polio cases in Pakistan, media outlets have reported two new cases of the poliovirus, or polio, in the Sindh and Punjab provinces. Pakistani media reported on Friday, 28th February that these cases were confirmed in the Qambar region of Sindh and the Mandi Bahauddin district of Punjab.

Health officials in the country stated that this marks the third case of polio in Sindh and the first case in Punjab for the year. It is worth noting that the total number of polio cases in Pakistan has reached five in 2025.
