Afghanistan, June 25 -- The Pakistani Army conducted a successful operation in South Waziristan, killing 11 militants, while losing two soldiers during intense clashes.
The Pakistani Army reported that 11 militants were killed and seven others injured during a fierce operation in South Waziristan's Sararogha district on Tuesday.
Two Pakistani security personnel, Abbas Shah, 37, and Gibranullah, 27, also lost their lives in the fighting.
A military statement described the militants as belonging to a group referred to as "Fitna al-Khawarij," a term Pakistan uses for Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) fighters.
