Afghanistan, April 5 -- Pakistan has announced plans to begin the forced deportation of 16,000 Afghan migrants with citizenship cards, raising concerns internationally.

Security officials in Pakistan's Sindh province have announced the commencement of the forced deportation of 16,138 Afghan citizens holding Afghan Citizen Cards (ACC).

Pakistani media reported on Friday, April 4, that more than 150 individuals have been detained in Karachi so far as part of the deportation process. These detentions have raised serious concerns among human rights organizations.
