Afghanistan, March 25 -- The Pakistani police have deported 50 Afghan children who had entered the country illegally via Khyber and bypassed barriers. These children were reportedly seeking work and had crossed the border by cutting through fences.

Local media, citing an official source, reported that authorities at the Torkham border crossing facilitated the return of these Afghan children to Afghanistan.

Adnan Khan, a local police official, stated to Pakistani media that these children, including 17 girls, were apprehended near the main crossing after cutting the fence on Pakistani soil.

He added that most of the children were under 10 years old and had no legal travel documentation.
