Afghanistan, Oct. 15 -- Pakistan reported nearly 20 Taliban forces killed in fierce border clashes, while conflicting casualty figures emerged from both sides amid rising cross-border tensions and instability.
Pakistani media reported that security forces successfully pushed back a large-scale Taliban offensive in the border region of Balochistan early Wednesday. According to Dawn, between 15 and 20 Taliban fighters were killed during the clashes, which broke out around Spin Boldak near the Afghanistan frontier.
