Afghanistan, Oct. 28 -- Pakistan police in Jhelum, Punjab have intensified operations to detain undocumented Afghan migrants amid widening deportation measures and mounting concerns within refugee communities.

Pakistan police are simultaneously targeting undocumented Afghan migrants and dismantling infrastructure linked to the hardline Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) group, The Nation reported on Tuesday.

Tariq Sandhu, a senior police official in Jhelum city, said authorities have detained 1,300 undocumented Afghans and repatriated them across the border. He noted that a detailed list of migrants has been compiled to accelerate identification and removal efforts.
