Afghanistan, Oct. 23 -- Pakistan's Navy seized nearly $1 billion in drugs during two Arabian Sea operations under a Saudi-led coalition, marking one of its biggest maritime busts.

The Pakistan Navy has seized narcotics worth more than $972 million during two operations in the Arabian Sea, carried out under the Saudi-led Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), officials said on Thursday.

According to Reuters, Pakistani naval forces intercepted two stateless vessels within 48 hours last week. The first raid on October 18 uncovered more than two tonnes of methamphetamine - valued at about $822 million - hidden aboard a fishing boat.
