Afghanistan, Feb. 4 -- Pakistani security forces, supported by drones and helicopters, regained control of a town in Balochistan after three days of intense clashes with Baloch Liberation Army militants.
According to Reuters, the operation followed coordinated militant attacks launched since Saturday targeting several areas across Balochistan province, including the provincial capital Quetta and surrounding districts.
Security officials say at least 197 militants were killed during the military operation, which was launched after insurgents temporarily seized control of the desert town of Nushki.
