Afghanistan, Oct. 3 -- Pakistan extended the Allama Iqbal scholarship deadline for Afghanistan students until October 10, after a nationwide internet blackout disrupted registration and hindered academic opportunities.

Pakistan's Special Envoy for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq, announced that the government has extended the registration deadline for the "Allama Muhammad Iqbal" scholarship program (third phase) for Afghanistan students.

Sadiq wrote on X on Thursday that the decision was made in response to Afghanistan's nationwide internet blackout, allowing the students more time to complete their applications.
