Pakistan's military claims it has killed 1,873 militants in operations across the country this year, including 136 Afghanistan nationals, army spokesman Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said on Saturday.
Chaudhry told reporters that from November 4 to the present, security forces conducted 4,910 intelligence-based operations nationwide, during which 206 militants were eliminated. He said the figures reflect what he described as sustained counterterrorism pressure.
