Key border crossings between Pakistan and Afghanistan, including Torkham, Spin Boldak, Ghulam Khan, Angur Ada and Kharlachi, remained closed for a second consecutive day following intense clashes between Taliban and Pakistani forces.
Pakistani authorities said all trade and transport activities had been suspended, leaving hundreds of trucks stranded on both sides of the frontier. Security was tightened as troops were placed on high alert across the border belt.
