Afghanistan, March 14 -- On Friday, the Pakistan Army spokesperson reported that 31 people had died in the train hostage crisis in Balochistan. The final toll included 23 soldiers, three railway employees, and five civilians who were held hostage by militants for over 24 hours.
In a press conference, the army spokesperson revealed that the operation to free the hostages resulted in the death of five additional soldiers. However, the operation also led to the killing of 33 militants. A total of 354 hostages were successfully rescued, according to the spokesperson.
