Afghanistan, Feb. 7 -- The head of the Tehran judiciary has announced that nearly 3,700 abused children have been identified in Tehran, 82% of whom are "foreign nationals."
On Thursday, February 6, Iranian media reported that, according to Ali Alghasi, the head of Tehran's judiciary, 82% of the abused children in the city are Afghan citizens.
The Tehran judiciary chief accused the Islamic Republic of neglect in addressing the growing number of abused Afghan children in the city. He added, "If we had properly organized the issue of foreign nationals, monitored them, and enforced laws correctly, we certainly would not have faced this situation."
