Afghanistan, June 26 -- More than 100 Afghan migrants have been released from a Pakistani jail, allowing them to return home and rejoin their families after days of detention.
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations announced on Thursday, June 26, that 104 Afghan migrants detained in Pakistan have been released and returned home. The migrants crossed into Afghanistan via the Spin Boldak border post.
According to the ministry's statement, many of these individuals held valid legal documents but were still imprisoned for periods ranging from one to ten days. Some reported harsh treatment despite having legal status to live or work in Pakistan.
