Afghanistan, Jan. 27 -- The UN's humanitarian office reports Norway has donated $990,000 to Afghanistan, strengthening emergency response efforts amid ongoing humanitarian challenges across the country.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced on Tuesday, January 27, that Norway contributed $990,000 to Afghanistan's Special Trust Fund.

OCHA stated, "Your continued support enables frontline partners to respond rapidly and effectively to sudden emergencies, saving lives and addressing urgent humanitarian needs."

Earlier, Sweden and Italy also provided financial assistance to Afghanistan, highlighting ongoing international commitment to aid a country facing widespread poverty, displacement, and conflict. ...
