Afghanistan, Aug. 28 -- North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will visit China next week, his first since 2019, to attend a grand military parade marking the World War II anniversary.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will travel to Beijing next week to attend a grand military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

The event, hosted in the Chinese capital, will see the participation of more than 20 world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, alongside Kim.

China's Foreign Ministry confirmed that Kim will be among 26 foreign leaders attending the parade. North Korea's state-run KCNA also reported his presence, making this his first trip to China since 2019.
