Afghanistan, Nov. 8 -- Border Minister Noorullah Noori warned Pakistan not to test Afghanistan's patience, urging restraint and dialogue after peace talks between the two sides collapsed.

A senior Taliban minister has warned Pakistan of a "direct confrontation" if Islamabad continues its threats following the collapse of peace talks.

Noorullah Noori, the Taliban's Minister for Borders and Tribal Affairs, issued a stern warning to Pakistan on Friday, cautioning Defence Minister Khawaja Asif not to underestimate Afghan resolve or rely on military superiority.

Speaking amid ongoing tensions and failed negotiations in Istanbul, Noori said Pakistan should "learn from the fate of the United States and Russia in Afghanistan."
