Afghanistan, March 29 -- Myanmar's devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake has claimed nearly 700 lives, with thousands injured and widespread destruction, especially in Mandalay.
According to reports, Myanmar officials have confirmed that the death toll from the earthquake in Myanmar has risen to 694, with 1,670 people injured. The earthquake, which occurred on Friday, March 28, had a magnitude of 7.7 and also affected parts of Thailand.
General Min Aung Hlaing, the leader of Myanmar's military government, stated that the earthquake is expected to result in more casualties. He invited "every country" to offer assistance and financial aid.
